AZITHROMYCIN TABLET

AZITHROMYCIN TABLET is an antibiotic used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is generally safe for breastfeeding mothers but people with existing heart conditions should avoid this medication. This medication is used to treat many kinds of bacterial infections such as respiratory infections, skin infections, ear infections, eye infections, and sexually transmitted diseases. It is a form of medicine called macrolide antibiotics and works by killing the bacteria that cause the infection.

Uses of AZITHROMYCIN TABLET

Numerous different types of bacterial infections are treated with azithromycin. This medicine is a macrolide type of antibiotic. It functions by halting bacterial growth. AZITHROMYCIN TABLET will not work for viral infections such as colds and flu. The efficacy of any antibiotic may be diminished by misuse or needless use. This medication is also used in the long term to prevent chest infections in people who keep getting them. AZITHROMYCIN is available in the form of capsules, tablets, and liquids that you swallow. Always take this medication as prescribed by your doctor.

Side Effects of AZITHROMYCIN TABLET

Inform your doctor if you have some signs of an allergic reaction to Azithromycin: (hives, difficulty breathing, swelling in your face or throat) or a severe skin reaction (fever, sore throat, burning in your eyes, skin pain, red or purple skin rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling).

Get emergency help at once if you have:
Diarrhea that is watery, severe stomach pain. Fast heartbeats, fluttering in your chest. Shortness of breath, and sudden dizziness.

Liver problem - upper stomach pain, nausea, itching, tired feeling, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools.

Common side effects 

• diarrhea;
• nausea, vomiting, stomach pain; or
• headache.

How to take it?

Usually, AZITHROMYCIN is consumed once a day and tries to take it at the same time each day. Take this medication at least 1 hour before food and 2 hours after eating and you can take tablets or liquid with or without food. You can take this medication with a whole glass of water. Do not break or chew it.
