AMOXYCILLIN TABLET/CAPSULE

AMOXYCILLIN TABLET/CAPSULE is used to treat bacterial infections and it is effective in infections of the throat, ear, nasal sinuses, and respiratory tract. Moreover, this medicine helps to eliminate a bacteria known as H. Amoxycillin tablets are used to treat many different types of bacterial infections such as tonsillitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. Sometimes this medicine is also used together with another antibiotic called clarithromycin to treat stomach ulcers caused by pylori infection. This medicine is prescribed for children to treat ear infections and chest infections.

Side Effects of Amoxycillin Tablets

This medication does not cause drowsiness but can cause other side effects. Here we provide a list of some common side effects.

• Vaginal yeast infection

Precautions

If you have an allergy to cephalosporins, including Omnicef, Cefzil, Ceftin, Keflex, and others, let your doctor know before taking amoxicillin. Furthermore, disclose to your physician any history of asthma, liver or renal disease, bleeding or blood clotting disorders, mononucleosis (commonly known as "mono"), or allergies of any kind. Amoxicillin may reduce the effectiveness of birth control tablets. While taking this medication, ask your doctor about the use of non-hormonal birth control (such as spermicide, diaphragm, or condom) to avoid getting pregnant. Take this drug for the entire recommended duration. Your symptoms can become better before the infection totally goes away. A viral infection, like the flu or the common cold, cannot be treated with amoxicillin. Even if someone else has the same symptoms as you, do not share this drug with them.

Uses of Amoxicillin Tablets

Amoxicillin tablets are indicated to treat the following conditions:

How to take it?

Swallow this tablet with a glass of water and after a meal. Do not chew or break it, swallow it whole.
